Victim(s)/Witnesses notified by Prosecuting Attorney’s office regarding all motions, hearings, trial dates, and/or offender transports. Lorraine met with Virginia Governor McDonnell the day following the offender's execution to recommended revision of House Bill 913 the Virginia Code £ 19.2-11.4 "Establishment of victim offender mediation program." Heal My Wounds Leave My Scars Prison Ministry was founded in 2010. The S.T.A.C.I.E. Foundation speaks to victims, ex-offenders and partner agencies with the same goals and desires: to offer positive influence to those incarcerated. Lorraine receives invitations as an Impact Speaker to local, state prisons, as well as Nationwide and discusses topics that include accountability, consequences, hope and forgiveness from a victim's perspective. Ex-offenders share their choices and decisions made due to addictions, peer pressure and anger and the crimes committed because of these personal choices. They share about the benefits of the programs offered during their incarceration and the help they received to transition back into society.
The Silenced No More Central Southwest Chapter began in 2011 and offers educational seminars which focus on healthy versus unhealthy relationships, and the tragic consequences of domestic violence to various local, state and national venues, including high schools, churches, and prisons. The chapter displays wooden life size silhouettes of men, women, and children painted red with a gold plaque that speaks a personal story of abuse. These individuals were violently murdered due to domestic violence.
